Did Ranveer Singh Skip HT Most Stylish Awards To Avoid Deepika Padukone?
They once painted the town red, hand-in-hand. But now Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh go to great lengths to avoid being clicked together
Ranveer Singh often beats the fashionistas of Bollywood
with his quirky red carpet style. Naturally, he was conspicuous by his absence
at the HT Most Stylish Awards, which took place on Friday night.
His Padmavati co-star and real life ladylove, Deepika
Padukone was there, resplendent in a black ensemble. She was seen chatting
away to ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Neetu.

When a star couple is not seen in public for a long time,
fans tend to conclude that another one has bitten the dust and same goes for
Ranveer and Deepika.
They had even made well-timed exits from Shahid
Kapoor’s birthday party, seemingly to avoid each other.
So, SpotboyE.com decided to snoop around and what we
found out, will shock you.
According to whispers in the industry it is Padmavati
director Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is keeping the two apart.
Buzz has it that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have
got strict instructions from Bhansali that they cannot be clicked together
before the promotions of their film Padmavati begin later this year.

And that is why Ranveer skipped the Style Awards, even though he received a special invitation.
Our sources tell us that Bhansali’s diktat stems from the vandalism which has obstructed the shoot of the film twice.
Earlier this month , a group of 40 to 50 miscreants torched the sets of Padmavati in Kolhapur. Earlier in January members of the relatively unknown Rajput Karni Sena stormed the sets of the film in Jaipur and slapped the auteur filmmaker.
The reason cited for both the attacks was that Bhansali manipulated history in his film and was allegedly set to show an intimate sequence between Alauddin Khilji (played by Ranveer) and Rani Padmavati (played by Deepika).
So, SLB seems to have asked the stars to lie low so that the groups are not provoked into attacking the sets again.
Will this tactic work? Only time will tell.
